| |
York County Economic Development Board recruits new
businesses and works with existing businesses to increase
the county's tax base and diversify job opportunities
for the citizens of York County. In the past several years,
York County has averaged $200 million in industry and
business development and 1,700 new jobs annually. Business
growth and development has helped create the excellent
quality of life we enjoy in York County.
Our mission is to assist companies with almost every facet
of capital investment and job creation including traditional
economic development arenas such as site or building selection
and development, but also assistance with financing, labor
resources, jobs training, permitting and other aspects
of a company’s location or expansion decision. Our
goal is to be the point of contact for York County in
not only the initial stages of a project, but also provide
assistance years later in the efforts to grow and expand
business.
The York County Economic Development Board strives to
encouraging business and trade opportunities for York
County. This includes the development of relationships
with other entities such as the Charlotte Regional Partnership
and with other regions such as Northern Ireland through
the Carolinas Northern Ireland Trade Association (CANITA)
and the Larne Enterprise Development Company. |
